Job Summary

The Assistant/Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery will develop oral surgery protocols, integrate evidence-based practices with patient care, and educate dental students in both pre-clinical and clinical settings. Responsibilities include creating goals for the dental education program, implementing the oral surgery curriculum, conducting assessments, mentoring students, and delivering clinical treatment as necessary. The ideal candidate must possess a D.D.S./D.M.D. degree, complete an advanced education program in oral surgery, and hold or be eligible for licensure in Missouri.

Required Qualifications

  • D.D.S./D.M.D. degree or equivalent
  • Completion of an Advanced Education Program in Oral Surgery (certificate, Master's Degree, or higher)
  • Current Missouri dental license or have an active dental license in a US state or Canada and be eligible for licensure in Missouri
  • Evidence of eligibility to receive an unrestricted Missouri dental license or a Missouri Faculty license

Desired Qualifications

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in oral surgery preferred
  • A strong desire to improve the oral and overall health for patients in the region through collaboration with other primary care professionals is encouraged
