Job Summary
The Assistant/Associate Professor will teach biomedical sciences with a focus on gross and histopathologic human anatomy. Responsibilities include participating in gross anatomy teaching, developing and delivering instructional content, evaluating student learning, grading assessments, conducting research, and serving as an advisor to students. Candidates must possess a doctoral degree, anatomy dissection experience, and prior teaching experience. A commitment to innovative teaching methods and student mentorship is required.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (either PhD, DDS, DMD, DO, MD, or a combination) from an appropriately accredited institution
- Human gross anatomy dissection experience
- Teaching experience, preferably using a wide range of educational techniques
- Post-doctoral training and experience (residency/fellowship) with prior academic teaching and research experience
Desired Qualifications
- Clinician scientists and dual degree trained candidates with a clinical and research doctorate are preferred
- Experience as a course director, team teaching, and mentoring students in research
- Effective organization, communication, verbal, and written skills
- High proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of software programs and online Learning Management Systems
