Job Summary
Teach core counseling courses including theory, assessment, diagnosis, and internship supervision for Masters students. Advise and mentor students through program rigors while engaging in university service and scholarly activities. Maintain active membership with professional organizations and contribute to program-level development for CACREP accreditation. This Full-Time Open Rank 10-Month faculty position is based at the Wheeling campus and requires a doctoral degree in Counselor Education & Supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Earned research or practitioner doctoral degree (PhD or EdD) in Counselor Education & Supervision
- Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Counselor endorsement in Illinois
- Commitment to experientially based education
- Ability to contribute to and work collaboratively as part of a diverse faculty and with a student body representing a broad range of cultures and identities
- Knowledge and experience using technology in teaching
- Ability to supervise practicum/internship
- Student advising and mentorship
- Program-level development and assessment
- College/university committee work
- Full-Time faculty position

Desired Qualifications
- Doctoral degree preferably from a CACREP-accredited program
- Ability to teach in two or more of the eight (8) CACREP areas
- Experience working as a clinical or school counselor
- Teaching experience in the field of counseling
- Experience in CACREP re-accreditation process and/or CACREP accredited program administration
- Members of underrepresented populations
