Job Summary
Lead the Agribusiness and Economics Program by recruiting, advising, and mentoring students while fostering internships. Deliver undergraduate coursework in agribusiness management, finance, and product marketing. Develop a research program addressing key issues for Georgia farms and agribusinesses, focusing on performance, resilience, and rural decision-making. Engage with industry stakeholders to enhance research relevance, secure external funding, and publish in high-impact journals. Participate in state, regional, and national conferences. Collaborate with the Georgia Agribusiness industry and contribute to the department's mission of serving agricultural producers and rural communities. Support unit recruitment and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Agribusiness or Agricultural Economics or related area
- Research program related to Agribusiness or agricultural economics in the United States with excellent publications record
- Demonstrated record of extramural funding that supports and results in peer-reviewed research publications
- Experiences with instructional strategies and techniques for teaching diverse students
- Demonstrated ability to support, instruct, manage, motivate, and evaluate students
- Skilled in the use of new and emerging educational technology tools such as AI
- Ability to integrate technology into the teaching and learning process
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies
- Demonstrated success in communicating research to a wide array of audiences
- Higher education teaching experience preferred

- Academic or industry experience beyond the Ph.D.
- Commitment to an interdisciplinary team approach to education and research
- Interpersonal skills, and desire to establish working relationships with external constituents in the allied agriculture industries
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
