Job Summary
Assistant/Associate Professor of Counseling is a full-time, 9-month faculty position at Lindenwood University (College of Education and Human Services) to teach 4 courses per semester (12 credit hours) in School Counseling, advise and mentor students, engage in scholarship and service, and participate in faculty governance. Qualified applicants possess a doctorate in counseling; priority given to candidates with Missouri certification knowledge. The successful candidate is expected to teach on campus, contribute to curriculum and program development, and support a rigorous, inclusive learning environment. Start date is Fall 2026; online teaching experience is preferred. On-campus presence is required unless discretionary remote arrangements are specified by administration. Faculty roles include advising, ongoing professional development, and participation in campus life and governance.
Required Qualifications
- doctorate in counseling
- teaching experience in counseling or school counseling
- availability to begin Fall 2026
- preference for online teaching experience
- MO School Counseling certification preferred or ability to obtain
- teaching 4 courses (12 credit hours) per semester
- excellence in teaching, service, scholarship
