Job Summary

Build a research program in functional and structural neuroimaging as a core member of the Biomedical Research Imaging and Innovation Center (BRIIC) initiative at the Old Westbury, NY campus. Focus on areas such as traumatic brain injury, brain development, neurodegeneration, and machine-learning for neuroimaging. Collaborate with clinicians studying neuro-musculo-skeletal medicine, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Ehler's Danlos syndrome, sports-related injuries, and E-Sports. Utilize the newly acquired 3T MRI scanner and existing Nordic Neurolabs software for fMRI data acquisition, processing, and analysis, supported by full-time imaging staff including a fellowship-trained radiologist and MRI technician. This role offers generous scanner time specifically for research. The university's biomedical sciences department includes over 15 faculty with active research programs in neuroscience, cardiovascular biology, and cancer.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD, DO, MD or other comparable doctoral degree
  • significant expertise in magnetic resonance imaging
  • significant expertise in fMRI
