Job Summary
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences seeks a full-time, non-tenure track faculty member in Health Policy and Management to teach up to 6 courses annually in the CAHME-approved MHA program, advise/mentor graduate students, serve on college/university committees, participate in program assessment/improvement, and support career mentoring and professional development. The candidate should hold an MHA or CAHME-equivalent with substantial healthcare management experience and, ideally, a doctoral degree in healthcare administration/health finance, with extensive leadership background and interest in teaching, online formats, and mentoring. The role collaborates across the COPH and UAMS health systems, involves engagement in program growth and quality activities, and requires strong collaboration with related medical and academic units.
Required Qualifications
- MHA or equivalent in healthcare administration, health finance, or related field, from a CAHME-accredited institution
- plus at least 10 years of progressive management experience in healthcare management
- Doctoral Degree (i.e., PhD or DHA) in healthcare administration, health finance, or related field
- plus at least 5 years of progressive management experience in healthcare management
