Job Summary
Full-time, twelve-month, non-tenure track faculty position in Pharmacy Practice focusing on population health and ambulatory care. Responsibilities include providing didactic and experiential instruction in pharmacy practice with emphasis on ambulatory care, maintaining an active clinical practice to support interprofessional student learning, developing and delivering courses to meet accreditation standards, engaging in independent and collaborative scholarly activities, and participating in service to the school, university, and professional organizations. The role involves delivering comprehensive population health/ambulatory care pharmacy services (medication management, chronic disease management, transitions of care, patient education), collaborating with physicians and care managers to identify and resolve medication-related problems, and utilizing electronic health records and population health tools to monitor interventions and improve care quality. Requires Doctor of Pharmacy and a strong commitment to teaching excellence; 12-month, full-time appointment at UMES with duties aligned to the School of Pharmacy in Salisbury, MD.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy required
- Completion of a post-graduate year one (PGY1) residency preferred or at least three (3) years of experience in clinical pharmacy practice or ambulatory care
