Job Summary
Conduct research and teach classes in health law, aging and the law, bioethics, disability law, privacy law, torts, employment and benefits law, trusts and estates, insurance law, public health law, administrative law, property and housing, family law, immigration, and environmental law. Engage in service to the Law School, the University, and the profession through interdisciplinary and collaborative efforts. Participate in seminar series and colloquia to share ongoing projects within the Wisconsin Research, Innovation and Scholarly Excellence (RISE) Initiative. Join a community of scholars working across disciplines on research, teaching, and outreach endeavors to address complex societal challenges.
Required Qualifications
- JD or equivalent degree
- Previous teaching experience
- Record of outstanding scholarly achievement, or the potential for such achievement, in the study of law and the conditions that shape human health, well-being, and flourishing over the course of a life
- Engagement in interdisciplinary research and collaboration across campus
- Subject areas of focus in health law; aging and the law; bioethics; disability law; privacy law; torts; employment and benefits law; trusts and estates; insurance law; and public health law
- Work bearing on health, aging, and human flourishing from fields not traditionally grouped under health law, including administrative law, property and housing, family law, immigration, and environmental law
- Use of empirical, economic, or other social-scientific methods
