Job Summary
Conduct research and teach classes in energy law, environmental law, public utilities regulation, property law, land-use law, torts, civil procedure, consumer law, administrative law, business law, and climate change law. Engage in service to the Law School, the University, and the profession while participating in interdisciplinary and collaborative efforts across departments, schools, and colleges. Contribute to the Wisconsin Research, Innovation and Scholarly Excellence (RISE) Initiative by joining a community of scholars working on research, teaching, and outreach endeavors to address complex societal challenges.
Required Qualifications
- JD or equivalent degree
- Multiple years teaching experience
- Record of outstanding scholarly achievement, or the potential for such achievement, in the study of energy law, public utilities regulation, environmental regulation, and other areas of law that intersect with sustainability
- Conduct research and teach classes in one or more of the following areas: energy law, environmental law, public utilities regulation, property law, land-use law, torts, civil procedure, consumer law, administrative law (including state administrative law), business law, and climate change law
- Engage in service of the type expected of faculty members
- Contribute to the vibrant, interdisciplinary scholarly community
- Engage with the Wisconsin Idea
- Demonstrate excellence or strong potential in research and teaching
- Likely to enrich the community
- Advance our commitment to pluralism and healthy civil discourse
