Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, Materials Science and Engineering Program

Job Summary
Teach graduate and undergraduate engineering courses specific to specialty areas in corrosion, high-temperature oxidation, coatings, ceramics, polymers, and advanced manufacturing, while participating in curriculum development. Develop externally funded research programs, publish results in professional journals, and advise graduate and undergraduate students. Engage in professional service activities including editorial peer review, serving on departmental and university committees, and conducting outreach through recruiting events, lab tours, and summer camps. The department offers ABET accredited degrees and focuses on advanced manufacturing and industrial systems.
Required Qualifications
- Prior to the effective date of appointment, a PhD in Materials Science, Materials Engineering or related field
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
