Job Summary
Area Assistant Director of Sales responsible for driving group, meetings, and catering revenue across a portfolio of hotels. Duties include outside sales calls, property tours, networking, contract negotiations, and ensuring a seamless inquiry-to-event experience. Focus on account production, identifying new business opportunities, monitoring local market trends, and maintaining a strong sales pipeline to meet or exceed revenue goals. Mentorship and development opportunities with the Area Director of Sales to gain exposure to business transient strategy, marketing initiatives, revenue management, and owner communication.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Minimum 1+ year of hotel sales experience required
- Experience in group, meetings, and/or catering sales strongly preferred
- Experience with Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, or IHG brands preferred
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with sales systems
- Valid driver’s license required.
