Job Summary
Develop, schedule, and coordinate leisure life enrichment programs to meet the physical, cognitive, and psycho-social needs of all residents at the Dimondale Nursing Care Center. Complete a comprehensive evaluation on each resident regarding their background, leisure interests, abilities, and limitations, then accurately document the individual assessment and plan using appropriate methods. Ensure regular programs are available that address the comprehensive needs and interests of the population. This role requires a state or nationally licensed Life Enrichment Professional or Therapeutic Recreational Therapist, or equivalent experience, working 40-hour full-time shifts with competitive wages, merit increases, and comprehensive benefits including 401k matching and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a state or nationally licensed, certified, or registered Life Enrichment Professional or Therapeutic Recreational Therapist
- Must be eligible for certification as a Life Enrichment Professional or as a Therapeutic Recreational Specialist by a recognized accrediting body
- Must possess 2+ years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last five years
- Must include at least one year of full-time experience in a resident activities program in a health care setting
- Must be a qualified Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapist Assistant
- Must have successfully completed a Training Course approved by the State
- Must be creative and innovative
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Must have a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care
- Must be a team player
- Must be dedicated to doing what it takes to support your team members and get the job done
- Must be available for 8 hour shifts
- Must be available for Full Time
- Must be available for 40 hours per week
