Job Summary
Prepare and issue customer sales invoices, reconcile invoiced data against operational data, and follow up on collections. Process supplier invoices accurately, verify against supporting documentation, and post transactions in the accounting system. Perform bank reconciliations, monitor outstanding balances, and assist in month-end and year-end closing activities. Collaborate with Accounting, Customer Service, Pricing, and Cost Control teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with internal procedures and myDATA requirements. Maintain accounting records and support general ledger reconciliations while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced shipping environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 1–4 years of relevant accounting experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and positive attitude
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desired Qualifications
- MSc or MBA
- Experience in the shipping or maritime industry
- A third language
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI
