Job Summary
The Assistant Accountant role supports financial reporting, analysis, and accounting operations for the assigned business area, including preparation of accounts, reconciliations, and management/statutory accounts, with responsibilities to analyse financial figures and KPIs, work with Workday/PowerBI/Adaptive Planning, manage workload, and assist with budgeting/forecasting and environmental KPI data; the role requires part-qualified progression towards CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent and experience with WorkDay and Adaptive Capex, in a hybrid pattern (2-3 days in Marchwood office with some travel to other Veolia sites) in the United Kingdom.
Required Qualifications
- Part-qualified professionals progressing towards their final qualification level (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent)
- Experience with accountancy systems including WorkDay
- Experience with Adaptive Planning/Capex
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Effective communication and relationship management abilities
- Time management and organised approach
- IT proficiency
