Assistant Accountant - 12mth FTC

Job Summary
Assistant Accountant (12-month FTC) based in Harlow, Essex. Support the Finance Manager with end-to-end monthly reporting, production of monthly management accounts, posting accruals/prepayments/journals, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT and corporate tax reporting, GRIR reconciliations, budgeting and cash flow forecasting, and maintaining the assets under construction ledger. Role involves working in a structured, multi-stakeholder environment and gaining experience with SAP or similar ERP systems; opportunity to progress towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA. Non-negotiable in-office presence: 4 days per week in Harlow.
Required Qualifications
- AAT Level 3 qualification
- Experience in a large, complex organisation (manufacturing advantageous)
- Hands-on experience with SAP or a similar ERP system
- Ambition to progress towards ACCA / CIMA / ACA (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive, can-do attitude
