The Assist Director of Nursing will provide management and oversight coverage, complete Quality Assurance Audits, supervise staff performance, and oversee nursing service activities. This role includes managing infection control programs, coordinating clinical care, monitoring staffing, and ensuring compliance with physician orders. Responsibilities encompass interacting with families, conducting in-services, and collaborating with various healthcare professionals to improve service quality. Additionally, the incumbent will handle admissions, billing processes, and actively participate in quality assurance programs. Advanced qualifications in geriatric care and strong communication skills are essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Registered Nurse with current license to practice in the District of Columbia
  • CPR Certification

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced preparation in the Geriatric Clinical Specialty
  • Dementia knowledge
  • Ward Management experience
  • Principles of Supervision

Additional Requirements
