Job Summary
Assigned Aircraft Maintenance Engineer responsibilities include supervising and controlling maintenance activities for assigned aircraft, performing inspections and repairs per established procedures, transcribing work items to documents, ensuring proper certifications and paperwork, complying with manuals and procedures, utilizing approved equipment with high workmanship standards, reporting unserviceable equipment, assisting in training learner mechanics, ensuring safety, and being available for travel to support customer aircraft and to work shifts during major projects. The role requires troubleshooting and analytical skills, strong customer service orientation under pressure, computer literacy for aircraft data handling, and bilingual communication (French-English). Must hold valid AME licenses (M1 & M2) and complete Transport Canada approved training; willingness to participate in required training and adhere to 6S regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a valid AME license category M2
- Successful completion of a Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Technical training program
- AME license category M1 & M2
- Line maintenance operations environment
- Sufficient computer skills to enable interrogation and downloading of information from aircraft and their engines utilizing a PC
- Good communicator (French-English)
- Ability to work shifts during major projects
- Team-player, professional, flexible and self-motivated
