Job Summary
Lead a security culture by managing crisis response, crowd management planning, and physical safety processes while responding to external and internal theft incidents. Implement daily Assets Protection workload priorities to prevent theft, fraud, and shortage risks, ensuring products remain available for guests. Develop and coach a team of hourly members on interviewing, retention, and merchandise protection best practices, including apprehending individuals and initiating internal investigations. Identify theft and shortage trends to drive profitable sales and support store business leaders on operational priorities. Work variable shifts including early mornings, nights, and weekends to align with guest and business needs, maintaining relationships with store leadership and law enforcement.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
- High school degree or equivalent
- Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Manage your workload and prioritize tasks independently

- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues

- Apprehend subjects in accordance with company policy
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds without additional assistance from others
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous retail and/or loss prevention experience preferred, but not required
