Job Summary
Lead a security culture by managing crisis response, crowd management planning, and physical safety processes while preventing theft and fraud. Identify shortage risks, develop tactics to reduce loss, and resolve internal investigations in accordance with policy. Coach hourly team members on interviewing, retention, and operational shortage priorities to support store sales and profitability. Work variable shifts including early morning, overnight, and weekends to align with guest and business needs. Serve as a first responder for safety incidents and maintain relationships with store leaders and law enforcement.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
- High school degree or equivalent
- Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
- Ability to climb up and down ladders
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds without additional assistance from others
- Ability to interpret instructions, reports and information
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to apprehend subjects in accordance with company policy
Desired Qualifications
- Previous retail and/or loss prevention experience preferred, but not required
