Job Summary
Lead a security culture including crisis response, crowd management planning, and preventing theft and fraud to ensure product availability. Identify and resolve external theft incidents, conduct apprehensions per policy, and manage internal investigations. Coach hourly team members on guest experience commitments, safety procedures, and operational shortage priorities while holding them accountable. Develop team schedules based on security trends and staffing needs, and order merchandise protection devices to maintain store standards. Work variable shifts including early morning, overnight, and weekends to support business priorities and analyze industry trends for enhanced security.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
- High school degree or equivalent
- Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
- Ability to climb up and down ladders
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds without additional assistance from others
- Ability to interpret instructions, reports and information
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to apprehend subjects in accordance with company policy
Desired Qualifications
- Previous retail and/or loss prevention experience preferred, but not required
