Job Summary
Lead a security team by managing crisis response, crowd control, and merchandise protection to prevent theft and ensure store safety. Identify and resolve external theft incidents, conduct investigations, and develop tactics to reduce shortage risks while supporting store sales goals. Coach hourly team members on guest experience standards, safety protocols, and operational procedures, including emergency preparedness and incident reporting. Monitor financial and guest outcome metrics to drive performance improvements and maintain compliance with company policies. Work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays to align with security patterns and business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
- High school degree or equivalent
- Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
- Ability to climb up and down ladders
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds without additional assistance from others
- Ability to apprehend subjects in accordance with company policy
- Interpret instructions, reports and information
- Ability to work a variable work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, closing shifts and other peak shopping times)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous retail and/or loss prevention experience preferred, but not required
