Job Summary
Assets Protection Specialist at Target responsible for using surveillance and intelligence-led tactics to prevent theft, monitor guests and team members, document incidents, and apprehend theft when needed. Primary duties include leveraging Target's video surveillance systems, identifying theft trends, maintaining a safe and inclusive store environment, supporting total store sales and guest service, and promoting a physical security culture through training and adherence to AP policies. Requires strong communication, ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Flexible schedule including nights and holidays; physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 40 pounds and climbing ladders may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Meet state/local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to operate handheld scanners and technology equipment as directed
- Effective communication and teamwork
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays
