Job Summary
Senior investing professional to source and execute real estate credit investments across multiple asset classes (industrial, multifamily, office, retail, hospitality) and financing structures (bridge, construction, senior-secured, subordinate debt), with a focus on transactions in the Western United States. Lead deal flow through deal sourcing, underwriting, structuring, due diligence, and investment committee presentations; negotiate terms, drive closing processes, and coordinate with acquisitions, asset management, legal, and capital markets teams. Build and leverage a network of sponsors, brokers, borrowers, and market participants to generate opportunities and ensure timely execution; monitor market dynamics and identify opportunities aligned with firm strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in real estate credit origination and real estate investing
- strong track record of independently originating, structuring, and closing real estate debt transactions, particularly within the Western United States
- deep knowledge of real estate fundamentals, capital structures, and various property types
- expertise in deal sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, and asset management
- exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills
- ability to operate independently as a market leader
- strong analytical capabilities, financial modeling proficiency, and meticulous investment vetting
- entrepreneurial mindset, results-oriented, and hunger to produce deals in a fast-paced environment
- ability to leverage internal resources including analysts and associates and collaborate across global teams
