Job Summary
Senior VP role leading the XIG Real Estate Primaries platform globally, overseeing manager sourcing, due diligence, underwriting, negotiations, IC approval, post-close monitoring, and re-up decision-making for primary fund commitments to third-party real estate managers across geographies, sectors, and the full risk-return spectrum. Provide dedicated investment coverage to the Real Estate Diversified Income Fund (REDIF), contribute to top-down positioning and bottom-up security selection, ensure regulatory and fiduciary alignment as a '40 Act fund portfolio manager, and serve as senior fiduciary for approximately $10bn of real estate assets managed for OCIO clients. Act as voting member of the XIG Real Estate Primaries Investment Committee, sponsor investments, and collaborate with Vintage Real Estate Partners on primaries and secondaries flows. Build and mentor a high-performing investment team, refine coverage universe and capital pacing, and represent the platform with global GPs, LPs, consultants, and senior management. Engage in product development and platform growth including evergreen, drawdown, sector-specialist, and customized institutional mandates.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of relevant experience in real estate investing
- deep expertise across private real estate funds, public REITs, and/or real estate credit
- experience with manager selection, fund-of-funds construction, or multi-asset real estate portfolio management
- '40 Act' fund and interval fund experience is a meaningful plus
- strong understanding of private real estate fund economics and vehicle structures
- excellent communication and presentation skills to Investment Committees and LPs
- ability to mentor and develop investment professionals
- leadership experience across analyst to VP levels
- ability to coordinate with multiple internal stakeholders across firm
