Asset Valuation/Appraisal Analyst

Job Summary
Conduct valuations of transportation assets including marine vessels, aircrafts, and vehicles using income, market, and asset-based methodologies. Monitor LTV values throughout asset lifetimes and verify external appraiser reports. Perform financial analysis and modeling via discounted cash flow (DCF) based on financial statements and forecasts. Execute market research by reviewing industry surveys to detect benchmarks and economic trends. Prepare comprehensive valuation reports presenting methodologies and findings while ensuring adherence to IFRS and RICS standards. Communicate with colleagues and external parties to collect necessary information and occasionally conduct on-site inspections. Establish cooperation with external evaluation companies in countries of presence to prepare official reports.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum professional experience in valuation is not less than 3 years
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, shipping, actuarial science, finance, business, or logistics
Desired Qualifications
- extensive experience in valuation of means of transportation (marine vessels, aircrafts & vehicles)
- Previous experience in valuation companies, insurance companies, investment or corporate banks, audit/consulting firms
- PC literate: MS Office – advanced user
- knowledge of appraisal software, data analysis tools, and relevant industry databases
- Strong analytical, mathematical and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good command of English, French and/or Spanish language
- Attention to detail
- Broad outlook
- Professional certification like Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) or Accredited Valuation Analyst (AVA)
