Asset Recovery & Sales Student

Job Summary
Drive asset optimization by facilitating internal equipment redeployment and enabling external sales of surplus materials. Help identify unused assets, match available inventory with upcoming project needs, and build relationships with external buyers and brokers to support transactions. Execute transfers and sales while ensuring compliance, logistics coordination, and reporting accuracy. Contribute to presentations, documentation updates, and research to develop a broad understanding of Canadian Natural's operations across thermal, conventional, and oil sands sectors. This four-month work term begins January 2027 with a Monday through Friday schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an undergraduate degree with a focus in Business, Commerce, Sales, Oil and Gas or a related field
- Demonstrated sales skills (especially lead generation and negotiation)
- Customer service experience
- Ability to influence others to move the sales opportunity forward
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Highly organized and efficient
- Skilled at communicating, interacting, and relating with others
- Legal authorization to work in Canada with no restrictions
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of oil and gas or industrial equipment will be considered an asset
