Job Summary

Conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols of the interior and exterior to check doors, windows, and gates for security breaches. Monitor alarm systems and CCTV cameras to detect unauthorized activity, verify visitor credentials, and manage staff/visitor sign-ins. Operate onsite weapons detection systems and respond to detected threats to protect site and staff. Serve as the first responder to emergencies, disturbances, or safety hazards, contacting law enforcement or fire departments as necessary. Perform life and safety critical inspections on key building areas and equipment on a daily or hourly frequency. Complete all required transaction and activity reports detailing observations, incidents, and security checks. This onsite role requires proficiency in warehouse management systems and RF scanning devices, with at least one year of experience in a warehouse or distribution security setting. Candidates must be able to stand for 7-8 continuous hours, lift up to 50 pounds frequently, and work various shifts including weekends and holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)/Home school equivalency
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Pass background check
  • Ability to work on various shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to stand for 7-8 continuous hours with limited breaks and without physical issue
  • Ability to climb ladders and navigate uneven ground
  • Frequently requires stooping, kneeling and crouching
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance and must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Occasionally team lift and /or move up to 100 pounds
  • Must be organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to be proficient in WMS and understand all aspects of inventory movement in a DC
  • Proficient in Writing, Microsoft Excel, MS-Outlook, MSWord
  • Strong partnership, team oriented with interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Have a passion for auditing, checking with high attention to detail
  • At least 1 year working for AAP or previous work experience in a warehouse/distribution security
  • Basic math, including add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals

Desired Qualifications

  • Candidates with previous security, safety and/or warehouse exposure are preferred
  • Experience with RF scanning devices
