Job Summary
Asset Protection Specialist (APS) at Green Thumb Industries and RISE Dispensaries. This role blends hospitality, customer service, and safety leadership to enhance the guest experience while maintaining security. Responsibilities include welcoming guests, managing check-in, providing concierge-level support, monitoring store areas, de-escalating incidents with empathy, escorting customers when needed, reporting safety or compliance issues, supporting emergency procedures, conducting visual inspections, collaborating with store teams, training new APS members, and performing other duties as assigned. Required qualifications emphasize at least one year of customer-facing experience, familiarity with POS systems, the importance of flexible scheduling (including mornings, days, nights, and weekends), background checks for cannabis employment, a valid driver’s license or state ID, 21+ age, and adherence to cannabis regulations. The role is based in Reno, Nevada at a dispensary location with active guest-facing duties and outdoor/indoor eligibility, reflecting a fast-paced, customer-centric retail environment in the cannabis industry.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of customer-facing or concierge experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems and/or compliance technology preferred.
- Security, military, or law enforcement experience is a plus when paired with a strong commitment to guest-first, hospitality-focused service.
- Meet the scheduling and availability requirements (i.e., ability to work a schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as mornings, days, nights, and weekends) to meet business needs.
- Must have reliable, responsible, and dependable attendance.
- Must pass all required background checks including state-specific cannabis employment requirements.
- Possess valid driver’s license or state ID.
- Must be 21 years or older and meet all state-specific cannabis employment requirements.
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
