Job Summary
Conduct investigations and research utilizing corporate reports and exception-based reporting to develop comprehensive cases revealing fraud or misreporting. Take cases through completion, ensuring appropriate recoveries, documentation, and follow-up are finalized. Perform tasks required to carry out the Asset Protection Department's Four Pillar Strategy for revenue assurance, shortage control, incident-investigation management, and safety. Advise, train, and counsel field operators in shortage control and theft areas while establishing relationships with local law enforcement to secure evidence and statements. Provide immediate response and professional consultation to field operations following critical incidents of crime or disaster. Requires 60–70% travel with no assigned office.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years retail operations-related experience
- multi-unit preferred
- Thorough understanding of retail Accounting and Financial Management
- Analytics, reporting management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to successfully train and communicate one-on-one or to a large audience
- The ability to successfully learn and excel using an exception Based Reporting Tool
- Ability to conduct professional investigative interviews
- 60–70% travel within the assigned coverage area
- No assigned office
