Job Summary
Asset Protection & Safety Manager at Lowe's oversees loss prevention, safety programs, and store security. Responsibilities include monitoring receiving/shipping, coaching associates, solving for criminal activity, and maintaining safe store operations; will travel occasionally for meetings/trainings or to support neighboring stores. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or HS diploma with relevant experience and 2+ years of supervisory/retail management experience; preferred credentials include security and asset protection certifications and a background in criminal justice or related field. The role emphasizes safety guidelines, investigations, and coordinating programs to minimize loss while ensuring a safe customer and associate environment. The position is scheduled as hourly full-time or part-time with regular morning, afternoon, and evening availability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of relevant work experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Safety, Business, or related Asset Protection field
- 2 years of experience directly or indirectly supervising employees including coaching, mentoring, directing, training, performance management, and recognition
- 2 years of experience as a Manager in a retail environment
- 1 year of experience conducting quality reviews/audits
- Demonstrated experience analyzing business documents (e.g., P&L, exception reports)
- Demonstrated experience conducting retail investigations
- Experience in using physical security systems (e.g., CCTV, EAS)
- National certified training program (e.g., Wicklander-Zuwalski or Reed training)
- Professional accreditation (e.g., APQ, APC) or equivalent experience
