Job Summary
As an Asset Protection Representative, you will deter, detect, and apprehend theft and fraud within retail locations while compiling and presenting evidence for court or arbitration. Collaborate with other APRs for investigations on Organized Retail Crime, engage with local police services, and identify shrink opportunities. You will also build partnerships with Associate-Owners, assist in incident de-escalation, and participate in community events. A valid Provincial Security Guard License is required, along with a strong initiative and integrity to succeed in a dynamic environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Provincial Security Guard License
- Basic understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act and Powers of Arrest
- Working knowledge of CCTV and/or surveillance systems
- Working knowledge of Windows based applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong collaborative skills
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
