Job Summary
As an Asset Protection Representative, you will deter, detect, and apprehend theft and fraud in retail locations, compile and present evidence for court, and collaborate with other representatives on organized retail crime investigations. Key responsibilities include identifying shrink opportunities, training store teams on Asset Protection policies, assisting with incident de-escalation, and participating in community events. The role requires a valid security license, knowledge of relevant laws and surveillance systems, and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Provincial Security Guard License required
- Basic understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, Powers of Arrest, and CCTV/surveillance systems
- Working knowledge of Windows based applications (Word, Power Point and Outlook)
- Professional, friendly and approachable demeanor
- Strong collaborative skills and a willingness to support Associate-Owners
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
