Job Summary
Protect and deter theft, fraud, and policy violations by maintaining a visible, professional presence in-store and safely detaining offenders following legal procedures. Conduct detailed internal and external investigations, gather evidence, and collaborate with law enforcement when required. Partner with store leadership to identify loss trends and implement prevention strategies while ensuring compliance with company standards and provincial regulations. Thrive in a high-volume grocery and pharmacy environment requiring vigilance, quick decision-making, and a commitment to justice. Valid Provincial Security Guard License and experience with CCTV and surveillance tools are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Provincial Security Guard License
- Understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada
- Understanding of Trespass to Property Act
- Understanding of related legislation
- Experience with CCTV
- Experience with surveillance tools
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Previous experience in grocery, pharmacy, or other high-volume retail environments
- Candidates who are 18 years or older
