Job Summary
Protect & deter theft and fraud in high-volume grocery and pharmacy settings by maintaining a visible, professional security presence; safely detain offenders following company and legal procedures; conduct detailed investigations and collaborate with law enforcement; reduce shrink by identifying loss trends and implementing prevention strategies; ensure compliance with security policies and provincial regulations; stay agile in a dynamic environment with a flexible schedule; leverage CCTV and Microsoft Office tools in support of store operations. Requirements include a valid Provincial Security Guard License, understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and the ability to pass a criminal background check for candidates 18 years or older.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Provincial Security Guard License
- understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada
- Trespass to Property Act and related legislation
- Experience with CCTV, surveillance tools, and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Professional presence with exceptional communication skills
- Integrity & Initiative – trusted, accountable, proactive approach
- Retail experience in grocery, pharmacy, or high-volume environments is an asset
- Criminal background check required for candidates 18+
