Job Summary
Asset Protection Officer responsible for safeguarding assets at the Distribution Center while maintaining a secure environment. Responsibilities include monitoring entry and exit points, screening and coordinating with gate operations and unloaders, tracking trailer movements, ensuring safe vehicle procedures at dock doors, patrolling the facility, supporting other posts, maintaining yard and door records, facilitating Will Call operations, and acting as liaison with emergency services. Requires strong observation, communication, documentation, and teamwork to manage security and loss-prevention activities across dock, yard, and facility operations.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Prior law enforcement or military experience highly preferred
- No prior criminal history
- Thorough knowledge of Company policies and procedures as they relate to network setup and administration.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, write and test programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of customers, Company personnel and others.
- Demonstrates Northern Tool + Equipment’s 12 Core Competencies.
