Job Summary
Drive store shortage reduction and profitability by identifying and preventing theft, fraud, and dishonesty while leading accurate inventory execution. Oversee investigations of internal, external, and organized retail crime incidents, ensuring proper protocol for apprehensions and accurate documentation. Manage store education, adoption, and compliance of asset protection policies and procedures. Lead team in providing a safe environment through safety and risk management processes, including regular performance reviews and coaching conversations. Foster strong relationships with local law enforcement and facilitate team career development to ensure a ready-now bench of talent. Participate in weekly leadership meetings to plan and schedule asset protection tasks. Available to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, with physical requirements to move around all store areas and lift 40 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of Asset Protection experience
- Available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must regularly move around all store areas and be accessible to customers
- Must bend, reach, stretch for product as well as lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs
- Comfortable with technology, including smartphones, tablet computers and Windows-based operating systems
- Ability to successfully apply analytics, experience, and judgement to make timely and effective business, people, and profitability decisions
- Skills and experience to perform in the role and a commitment to continuously learn
- Ability to develop others through mentorship, effective communication, and side-by-side coaching
- Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision in a deadline-driven environment
- Communicate with excellence
- Understanding of general and civil liability
Desired Qualifications
- Experience investigating organized retail crime is preferred
