Job Summary
Asset Protection Detective at Macy's responsible for using surveillance techniques to identify and apprehend shoplifters and dishonest employees; applying de-escalation tools to maintain a safe, customer-centric store environment; recovering stolen merchandise; researching and providing statements and evidence for investigations; preparing reports on theft incidents, investigations, and audits; maintaining compliance with law and company policies; building partnerships with store teams and law enforcement; testifying in court; training colleagues on protection protocols; responding to alarm conditions and handling special assignments; providing first aid as needed; and fostering an inclusive environment while adapting to flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- For jobs in New York, a current New York State Security Guard License is required
- Obtain and maintain required licenses, trainings, and certifications
