Job Summary
Bloomingdale's Asset Protection/Loss Prevention Detective protects assets and people at the assigned Bloomingdale’s location. The role uses investigative skills and analytics to observe and apprehend shoplifting, participate in store shortage reduction, maintain building safety and security, and support daily store operations. Requires knowledge of state laws related to shoplifting, ability to operate CCTV systems, and flexibility to work retail hours including weekends/holidays. Strong interpersonal skills, independence and teamwork, and licensing as required by jurisdiction are needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years related experience
- Must satisfy licensing requirements (as required by state or local jurisdiction)
- Experience operating and monitoring CCTV systems
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays
