Asset Protection Detective at Macy's in El Paso, TX. Responsibilities include using surveillance techniques to identify shoplifters and dishonest employees, employing de-escalation tools to maintain a safe environment, recovering stolen merchandise, researching and providing statements/evidence for investigations, preparing reports on theft incidents and audits, maintaining compliance with laws and company policies, building partnerships with store teams and law enforcement, testifying in court, training colleagues on protection protocols, responding to alarm conditions, and assisting with first aid. The role requires flexible availability (days, evenings, weekends, holidays), strong communication, teamwork and independent work capability, and the ability to obtain/maintain required licenses and certifications. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, and in New York, a current NYS Security Guard License is required.
