Job Summary
Asset Protection Coordinator at Bass Pro Shops responsible for asset protection, security, compliance, and safety within the store. Key duties include reducing shrink, maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring compliance, and creating a safe environment for employees and customers. Responsibilities include on-floor presence, observation and education of Outfitters, driving training on shrink/safety/security, analyzing cycle counts and audits to identify loss opportunities, investigating irregularities and criminal activity, maintaining physical security systems (CCTV, EAS), promoting safety programs, preparing detailed reports, and coordinating with store leadership to uphold safety and protection standards. Requires ability to obtain any licenses/certifications required by law; uniformed role with frequent interaction with customers; travel not required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Preferred: Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management or related field
- Experience in security, asset protection, and safety preferred or retail inventory background
- Knowledge of security systems (CCTV, EAS) and conducting investigations
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred
