Job Summary
Asset Protection Agent at Nordstrom responsible for preventing theft, protecting assets and ensuring safety. Responsibilities include resolving theft with policy-compliant apprehensions, identifying theft trends via surveillance and RFID data, conducting investigations in collaboration with AP leadership and internal teams, generating detailed incident reports, supporting Emergency Response Team training, maintaining security of customers and staff, and participating in store security audits while building partnerships with store leadership and local law enforcement. Must demonstrate good judgment in fast-paced environments, strong verbal/written communication, confidentiality, and flexibility to align with business needs. Ability to meet state/local licensing requirements and perform responsibilities related to loss prevention and inventory protection.
Required Qualifications
- Meet any state and local licensing requirements
- Experience in investigative, asset protection and security procedures (preferred)
- A calm demeanor when dealing with safety issues
- The ability to make, and be accountable for, decisions use good judgement in a fast-paced environment
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- A high level of ownership and confidentiality
