Job Summary
The Asset Manager, Wind and Solar is responsible for maximizing the long-term risk-adjusted value of a renewable energy portfolio (wind, solar and storage). The role integrates operational oversight, commercial strategy and financial value creation, leading cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, energy management, finance, accounting, legal, regulatory teams to optimize performance, manage risk, and unlock value throughout the asset lifecycle. Responsibilities include monitoring contractual obligations (PPAs, O&M, EPC, interconnection, financing, leases), acting as the owner’s representative with internal teams and investors, ensuring contractual compliance, leading issue resolution across technical, commercial, regulatory and environmental challenges, overseeing financial performance (budgets, cash flow, variance analysis, reporting) with the Asset Management Finance team, participating in RES Group projects related to operational excellence, applying asset management procedures and proposing improvements, delivering reporting to stakeholders and investors, managing project-level financial operations (OPEX, invoicing, receivables, distributions), developing market expertise in electricity markets and RECs, ensuring safety/environmental/quality adherence, and driving continuous improvements while handling multiple priorities. The role also requires proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SharePoint, familiarity with complex project financing structures, and experience with external stakeholders (off takers, vendors, service providers). Travel 5-15% is expected; the position supports a REMOTE work arrangement in the United States. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in Business Administration, CFA, PMP, and 3+ years of related experience in asset management, renewable energy, or operations.
