Job Summary
Develop and execute asset dispatch strategies within a portfolio of generating assets to meet energy delivery obligations in the Day-Ahead and Real-Time markets. Serve as the point of contact for plant operations and external Energy Managers, communicating operational and market conditions while properly documenting asset availability and limitations. Create and facilitate internal processes to comply with ISO requirements, including Fuel Cost Policy submissions, cost and price curve development, and Capacity and Energy market coordination. Coordinate with Risk and Operations to manage unit parameters and respond to field data requests from ISO and regulatory bodies.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics
- Minimum 3 years of energy market experience optimizing generating assets and dispatching power plants in PJM
- Expert understanding of rules/regulations/requirements for compliance with ISO standards
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Certified Generation Operator certificate
- Pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing
