Job Summary
Oversee the entire life cycle of Real Estate Owned (REO) assets from acquisition to disposition, managing a portfolio of properties to maximize recovery and minimize holding costs. Develop marketing strategies, handle repair and rehab processes, and negotiate offers while collaborating with vendors, agents, buyers, legal teams, and internal stakeholders. Ensure seamless operations and compliance with regulatory requirements through close coordination across the organization. Reporting to the AVP of Asset Disposition, this role requires proficiency in real estate asset management software and loan servicing systems. The position involves strong analytical skills, decision-making abilities, and time management to prioritize shifting priorities. Genstone leverages shared resources across The Fay Group to deliver turnkey support for property acquisition and performance optimization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance or related field (or equivalent combination of years of experience with High School diploma/GED)
- 2+ years' experience as an REO Asset Manager
- 2+ years' experience in the real estate or mortgage industry
- Working knowledge of REO processes and property disposition strategies
- Proficient in real estate asset management software and loan servicing systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients, agents and other stakeholders
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Solid decision-making abilities coupled with sound judgment
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to prioritize numerous tasks and manage shifting priorities
