Job Summary
Asset Manager with a focus on comprehensive compliance monitoring of affordable housing portfolios (HTF, TKEY, HOME, LIHC, SLIHC) across regulatory and financial dimensions. Responsibilities include on-site file reviews and inspections of LIHTC/HOME/Housing Trust Fund/Turnkey/SLIHC/HUD236/Mitchell Lama/HCR projects; coordination with owners and property managers; enforcement of financial reporting, use restrictions, and set-aside requirements; developing recommendations to sustain the long-term financial and physical health of assigned projects; reviewing and submitting physical and financial status reports; instructing site staff on compliant management practices; implementing corrective actions for non-compliance; and supporting ongoing project maintenance such as rent reviews, reserve withdrawals, and insurance. Preferred qualifications include a real estate finance/ accounting/ business background, HUD 4350 & LIHC compliance proficiency, MS Office skills, and travel capability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate finance, accounting, or business administration, preferred
- Requires minimum of 2 years’ experience in property management of affordable housing or closely related field
- Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, computer & communication (oral & written) skills
- Certification and/or proficiency with HUD 4350 Requirements and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program Compliance, preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are essential
- Occasional overnight travel and a valid NYS driver’s license are required
- Physical capacity to perform unrestricted travel and conduct building, unit inspections and on-site regulatory compliance audits
