Job Summary
Monitor the operational and financial performance of Eden's portfolio by benchmarking against budgets, development proformas, and owner objectives. Manage third-party property management relationships, review audits, and coordinate refinancing, buyouts, and rehabilitation from funding through final investor payment. Actively participate in annual budgeting, prepare financial evaluations for portfolio initiatives, and respond to requests from regulatory agencies, lenders, and investment partners. Directly supervise one or more employees, including interviewing, training, and addressing performance issues. This role supports Eden's mission in affordable housing by developing long-term strategies to improve property performance and ensure compliance with organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in affordable housing and/or multi-family residential real estate finance
- Ability to prepare financial feasibility analyses
- Capability to analyze complex problems
- Strong computer skills primarily on Excel and Word (or comparable)
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Desired Qualifications
- Strong experience in affordable housing and/or multi-family residential real estate finance preferred
- Ability to prepare financial feasibility analyses, conduct research, and prepare narrative reports and proposals
- Experience in developing business and strategic plans
- Experience with or strong interest in non-profit organizations
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent time management skills, multitasking and ability to set priorities
- Flexible, pragmatic, problem-solver
- A passion for housing justice and equity is highly desirable
