Job Summary
Associate on the Strategy & Business Development team supports mission-critical projects across Asset Management, including developing growth strategies, market-entry assessments, and organizational changes. Responsible for performing competitive and market sizing analyses, identifying customer segments and value propositions, translating strategies into operational initiatives, and shaping leadership communications and strategy materials. Works closely with senior executives and across Asset and Wealth Management teams (investment professionals, distribution, and functional groups) to formulate and present recommendations, and may be cross-staffed into broader AWM initiatives. Requires structure in ambiguous situations, strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, and excellent client-management and executive communication abilities; Bachelor's degree is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3+ years of experience in Strategy consulting with a top-tier management consulting firm, in internal consulting / on a corporate strategy team, in a front office asset or wealth management role (e.g., portfolio management, investment specialist, private banking), or experience working at an asset manager
- Ability to provide structure in ambiguous situations and apply analytical tools to develop solutions
- Strong client management and executive-level communication skills
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Open, collaborative, team-oriented operating style
- Deep knowledge of financial services, especially asset management
- Basic level understanding of Artificial Intelligence / Large Language Models
