Job Summary
Executive Director-level desk analyst in JPMorgan Asset Management's Special Situations Group, based in New York. Responsibilities include sourcing and reviewing investment opportunities using an extensive network, constructing and maintaining financial models to support investment decisions and portfolio management, reviewing credit agreements and governing documents to enable informed decisions, and supporting business development, marketing, and control initiatives while ensuring compliance with JPMAM/GSS policies and regulatory requirements. Required qualifications include 7+ years in distressed credit, strong sourcing relationships, valuation and credit analysis capabilities across stressed/distressed/event-driven issuers, ability to interact with company and investor counterparts, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of distressed credit experience or relative background
- Extensive relationships in the industry to allow for sourcing suitable investment opportunities
- Valuation and credit analysis experience, including the ability to analyze and value investment instruments issued / borrowed by performing, stressed, distressed and event driven companies
- Strong work ethic and mature personality to enable various direct company and investor interactions
- Proven ability to work under pressure, be task orientated, and achieve tight deadlines
- Strong knowledge of Excel, and PowerPoint
