Job Summary

Vice President for Valuations in JPMorgan Asset Management’s Global Alternatives Group. Responsibilities include reviewing private market investment valuations (equity and debt) for global commercial real estate funds/accounts, applying income, sales comparison, and cost approaches; identifying errors, communicating with appraisers, and ensuring timely reporting. Involves audit support, participating in platform-wide initiatives, informing management of valuation risks, and reviewing investment committee presentations. Requires modeling valuations in Argus Enterprise and Excel, and presenting findings to portfolio managers, auditors, service providers, and investors.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of seven years of prior experience in institutional real estate or other real asset valuations
  • Strong understanding of and interest in alternative asset classes, including debt funds and direct investments in private companies
  • Well-developed written and quantitative analysis skills
  • Abstract reasoning skills and high level of organization
  • Ability to self-start and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Fluency in Argus Enterprise and Excel for valuation modeling
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills to defend findings to internal/external stakeholders
